Do I Weigh Less, Or Do I Weigh More?

June 7, 2010

I have been working my butt off lately! If you see me on Twitter, or follow me on DailyMile, you see just how active I am. Last week alone I walked and biked a total of 22 miles! That’s crazy talk! Back in February, when I was “dormant”, 22 miles would have made me die at just the mere thought! I am on a mission to top that this week, even if it’s by a single mile, I want to top it!

So I know you come here just to hear the numbers, but I need to explain something. Remember the 10lb miracle loss I just had? I’m pretty sure that was just a fluke. I went out and bought a new scale, and it’s registering nicely. All last week I was weighing in at 197. I have re-entered my data into the Weight Watchers program to show 197 for last week. I lost that wonderful 10% milestone, but that’s only temporary!

This week I am weighing in at 194!

I am very pleased with that! I even treated myself to some junky goods (which, of course, my tummy hated me for afterward!). All things in moderation!

Next week, you will see a picture of my scale. I don’t feel like I need to prove myself, but it will be nice to have them as stepping stones, as a reminder of where I once was!

Some new things that I am trying exercise-wise are a trampoline (rebounder) that came with resistance bands. It’s incredibly fun, but WOW, what a work out! My calves always burn, and when I follow the DVD routine I end up yelling at the chick. I’m sure it’s hilarious, but it’s fast paced and intense! I have every right to yell at her, so long as I keep moving!

We also purchased the “Body by Jake” Tower 200, mainly for Hubs, but I do want to try it out and see what happens. I’m not body building or anything, but to tone and tighten would be nice. If I could pick 3 places to instantly zap thin I would pick my thighs, stomach, and arms. No question about it! I’ve tested out the Tower 200, and it definitely feels like a work out. Hubs did it last night, and was sweating bullets, and is sore today. We will see how well it works in the long term!

This week I am working on my water intake, trying to get 64 oz or more every day. I’m also going to try to eat cleaner (less processed foods). We get our food co-op box tomorrow, and it includes 10-15 POUNDS of produce! I can’t wait to see what we get, it’s a total surprise! I’m hoping for some organic spinach so I can have some killer salads!

A quick question for everyone – - do you want to visually see what I’m eating? I’ve been reading a lot of blogs, and these ladies have amazing photos of their food, simple things like salad, but it’s so neat to see what they are eating! Is this something you would want to see from me? Maybe some more accountability if I’m showing the world what I bash on?

I love food porn, so I say shoot away. I can even suggest some food photog blogs if you want them, but then again, I am a piggy.

Congrats on getting to 194. You are going to love your CSA box. It is like Christmas every week with the produce presents.
