It was intense. The voting started off strong, and vote by vote, they added up. Tweet after tweet, Facebook beg after Facebook beg, the numbers climbed. As midnight got closer and closer, the intensity only picked up, and it turned into a race. As I tweeted and watched the numbers climb from the comfort of my bed, I was consumed in a competitive nature. I’ve always been a competitive person (and a sore loser), so I was out to win. I was out to win from the beginning. This “Name That Slider!” contest was a battle!
It was thrilling. It was a hold-your-breath moment as the clocked ticked 11:59pm EST.
And then the announcement from @FlatoutBread…
We. Won.
Like @FlatoutBread said, it was such an exciting race to the finish! @JustTracyB and have plans to run for president now because our campaigning is like none other! I wanted to say congratulations, Tracy, you really rocked it!! Thank you to everyone who voted, tweeted, Facebook’d, thank you so much!!
I could barely sleep last night even though I had walked a 5K that morning, I was tired, but filled with so much excitement! This morning I let Chubbs know, and he gave me the BIGGEST hug! Yea, I’m one cool mom!
