Last week, I had the opportunity to review the GloDoodle toy. Yes, this is Chubbs as we opened our package. Yes, this is how excited he was! He totally thought the GloDoodle was for him, and followed this face with a “Thank you, Mommy!!!” God I love him.
Anyway, here is the GloDoodle in all it’s glory.

I could already tell my watching the video on the GloDoodle Website that this was going to be an awesome toy. Of course, with all toys… the packaging…

This baby was in there SECURE! It took a couple of anxious minutes to open, but when we did, we could not wait a second to start drawing!

To draw, you just use the little stylus OR your finger. I love being able to draw with fingers because the stylus is connected to the GloDoodle with a string, but there’s a little connector that pulls apart. So when the stylus is missing, you can still draw!
Another cool aspect is that it’s see-through, so you can lay it on something and TRACE, or hold it up to something (like a person’s face) and trace! How cool is that?! We found it hard to trace a 4 years old face, but when a family friend visited, he tried to trace one of our dogs. Let’s just say he needs to work on that!
There are 3 color settings: Green, Yellow, and Red
To erase, you press the big button at the top all the way down. You’ll hear the screen pulling apart from where it sticks to the other part. I’m not sure *exactly* what is going on, but it sounds like pulling apart plastic wrap, or that fancy Press and Seal kind.
The GloDoodle does require 3 AA batteries. It also features an auto-turn off if left on too long! LIFESAVER (and money saver, since batteries don’t count pennies!)!
We have had a lot of fun. We’ve taken it outside, we’ve taken it in the car. It’s not so big that it’s akward to carry around or have in the car, I personally think it’s a great lap toy for long car rides and we will for SURE be taking it to Gatlinburg this September.
It’s also fun to pratice your signature, practice the alphabet, numbers, and draw silly faces!
All in all, we LOVE our GloDoodle!
Thanks for coming back! I hope you join the conversation and leave a comment or two!
