Halloween…stupid candy

So Halloween has come and gone. I’m a big fan of candy. I’ve had candy all my life. I remember dumping my Halloween bag out onto the floor and sorting and counting and eating. So this year, naturally, I’ve had a few pieces. I’m going to throw it all away tonight. We don’t need it in the house, so bye!

I took one picture of the scale the other day, and when I got on this morning, had to take another one! I’m happily surprised, and I’m excited to see the number continue to go down, down, down!

My food log doesn’t exist, I do apologize. I did measure out snacks though (14 large pretzels per serving, 1/4 cup granola, 3/4 cup Special K cereal), and increase my water. This week I am ontop of the food log though. I have seen how it helps see your slip-ups, and also what triggers over eating and indulging!

Exercise also wasn’t really there. Walking during trick-or-treating, and also moved around the house more during the day instead of being stationary while working. I did make it a point to take one person’s laundry at a time upstairs to be put away, and I folded while standing (and did squats to pick clothes from the pile!).Also, dancing at the Imagination Movers concert!

This week my goals are to:
1) Keep food log. Include EVERYTHING.
2) Get up and move! 10-15 minutes of just plain fun dancing
3) If weather allows, two 20 minute walks outside (if not, will do walking inside)

AWESOME Mandi on the loss! I struggled a bit too with the journal but once I committed it helped SO much! Here’s to another week, WOOT!!

  2. You know what I would recommend for you? A pedometer. Get one..they are cheap and try to get 4,000 steps first. Then work your way up to 10,000 steps. I think that might be less overwhelming than starting a different exercise routine…cause everything you do during the day counts as exercise. :)
