We’ve all heard about teachers and students, doctors and patients, whatever combination of illegal and just plain wrong sexual encounters. It’s nothing new to hear about in the news, but every time it comes across, you can’t held but shudder.
This local orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Henry Albers, who practiced at four Miami Valley hospitals, was arrested on Monday and charged with three counts of gross sexual imposition, two counts of rape and three counts of sexual battery. Police do NOT believe his victim was a medical patient, and were notified when the mother of the victim called the police to report that Dr. Henry Albers was raping her 16 year old daughter.
Now, the only reason I’m sharing this is because I’ve met Dr. Henry Albers. My son has seen him two or three times at a local children’s hospital. While the victim wasn’t a patient, it is still very unnerving to think that this man, this doctor that we TRUSTED, who is 47 years old, thought it was acceptable to have sexual relations with a 16 year old. SIXTEEN! It’s hard to think about… this young girl just got her license, is in high school…it’s just too much.
How do we know we can trust our doctors? How can we trust anybody? Like I said, the police don’t believe this girl was a patient… but what if she was? Albers has been suspended from his practice… do you think that’s enough? Will he keep his medical license and continuing practicing? Should he be stripped of it?

My question is how did this man get alone with the girl. Where was her mom when this was happening? WOW!! Very unnerving.

He’s GUILTY!
This is horrifying to my husband & I because we used to take our daughter to him at Children’s Hospital. He was an idiot as a Dr. though & very knife happy as a surgeon so we starting taking our little girl else where. So glad we did! I think he should lose his license forever!
