That is what so many people don’t understand about marriage is the work. The work everyday to remember why you married…the reason to stay married and the love to keep the marriage alive. I have been married 10 years and I tell you that as more time passes that the work gets to be a bit tougher…but all the more worth every bit!

There is something comforting in seeing older couples and how they made it. My parents are celebrating 33 yrs this year, and I am thankful for their example. I agree marriage is work.

You know, I too hold on to that image of growing old together. I want us to be that couple that our children, our grandchildren and great-grandchildren look up to and thrive to be like. Marriage surely does take work, but knowing what you’re working towards is all worth it.
