Not This Time

I’ve decided that for this round, I will not by applying. I have just a little too much going on to focus like I would need to. I’m not quitting the Sistahood though, I support everyone. Everyone has a valid and personal reason for wanting to get healthy, and I know that if we all stick together and hold ourselves accountable, we can reach our goals. I haven’t expressed my support on Twitter because I don’t want to pick favorites. Every single one of the applicants has a special reason for applying. They each deserve a chance to gain control of their lives and change for the better. I wish everyone could be a Mamavation mom.

This past week was crazy. We had our first full week of homeschooling (post to come!). I like to schedule and list things out, so I tried making a schedule that included working out, work, blogging, cleaning house, cooking, etc etc…. and it kind of failed. But I’m glad it did! I know what failed and I can tweak it and work it out.

I got on the scale this morning… looked down… are ya kidding me?! I haven’t gained OR lost anything. Well, I guess maintaining if good. You would think with the emotional eating and the crappy choices lately that I would have gained at least 2 or 3 pounds. I’m glad though… I like having the number just sit there. I’d like for it to go lower and lower, but at least it’s not higher and higher!

This month we are eating from our pantry and freezer, trying to limit out grocery store budget. So far, it’s gone well. We don’t have a lot of tempting snacks, and I don’t really have the budget to buy more, so this is a huge plus. I’m also drinking more water. This is such an easy thing to do, refill your cup with water, but man, I struggle with it. I need an IV for water to get my recommended daily amount!

Here is my GOOD LUCK to everyone applying!

Here is my WAY TO GO to those who have already started their journey and have lost weight and made healthy choices!

I want to try and eat from out pantry too. I homeschool my boys as well and after joining mamavation I’ve never spent so much time at the computer! I have to come up with a better schedule.

@Heidi, Coming up with the schedule is so hard. There has to be a balance between being on the computer for homeschool purposes (to find new materials, print, etc) and blogging and social media stuff. It has to be doable though, I’m sure we both can come up with something!

So glad you are still staying with the Sistahood! I would need an IV for water, too. I really hate it. LOL Good luck this week!

It seems you have alot going on but you know it and you’re working on it, kudos. LOL, I like how you put it when it comes to drinking water. Keep reminding yourself to move too. Keep it up!

Hi Mandi. Fitting in fitness is really a challenge especially for us moms whose chores never really ends. Way to go on your efforts for eating healthy. It has to start somewhere, and you’re definitely on the right track. — @ImAHotMom

I’m so happy you are with the Sistahood! I love having you around. So what…nothing gained nothing lost. The point is this is lifestyle change. And that means eventually you will get there. :) XXOO

Maintaining is an awesome thing, esp when you expect the # on the scale to go up! Good luck & good job eating from the pantry! I’ve done it for monetary reasons as well & you don’t wanna snack when you know there’s nothing good!
