Weight Watchers Walk-It Challenge & Weigh In

Last week kicked off the Weight Watchers Walk-It 5K Challenge, and yes, I joined! While there are no local 5K’s in my area, I will be mapping out my own and using my new Blackberry to help track it! I am scheduled to walk my 5K on June 6th, which also happens to be the day of the local strawberry festival, so there will be way more then normal traffic levels, both vehicle and foot. BUT, it will give me plenty to look at, and lots of distractions as I tackle the 3.1 miles!

I am super excited because the Hubs and Chubbs are coming with! Chubbs will be comfy in his stroller with a snack, some water, and us to talk to! We haven’t decided if we are ordering Team Mandi shirts or not, but I think we might. Hey, it’s my first 5K, I deserve a shirt!

This past week was good, even with Easter candy temptation all around. It’s about to hit the trash can though, since Chubbs rarely asks for a piece. Why have it in the house if his next question is, “Can I have strawberries?”? Doesn’t make sense to keep the junk if he asks for fruit! For activity, I was able to earn 10 good ones to use throughout the week (which I chose not to), and instead I’m aiming to beat that this week. Even if I only get to 11, I still want to beat that!

As far as weigh-in, well…

I lost FOUR pounds from last Monday’s weigh in!

That’s a total of 7 pounds so far, and I reached my first milestone of the “first 5lbs”!!

As London from “Suite Life of Zack & Cody” (Disney) would say, “Yay me!”

Nice Job!! Keep up the good work and congrats on the 5K, you will do great!
I need to get back on the wagon… it is amazing how a few bad choices in food can put you back so much! Time for healthy food again!

Great job on the weight loss and staying away from that dreaded Easter candy!

i am trying to do the couch t 5k program…onec you tackle the walk 5k, i bet you will be ready to run it!!! good work!
